Resolutions. Shmeesh-alutions.

In with the old. Out with the new. Turn over a new leaf. A fresh start. The previous are all the common [insert cliche] phrases associated with the beginning of a new year. What else comes with the new year, besides black eyed peas and hangovers?  Resolutions! Instead of making resolutions, because we all know resolutions were meant to be broken, I think I'll set some new ''goals''.

Goal Numero Uno.

Finish the master bath remodel. I'm ashamed to admit that our master bath currently looks like this...
Why does this bathroom live in shambles, you ask? This leads me to goal number 2.

Goal Number 2.

Commit. Two and a half years later many walls in our house remain without art work or decor due to the simple fact that I cannot commit. This year I will commit and the canvas of my walls will be blank no more.

Goal Number 3.

Go to Ikea. I have never been. You didn't read that wrong. I said [actually typed] that I have never been to Ikea. I can virtually hear you gasping in disbelief. I am hoping Ikea will help with my commitment issues. I have heard it is the home decor lovers version of Disney World.

Goal Number 4.

Become a better photographer. If it were not for the beautiful work of my best friend, Carly Valdez-Fuller, I would probably have very few salvageable photos of my children.

If I can learn to take photos half as good as these, I'd be one happy girl! And you won't be tortured with photos that make your eyes want to bleed.

So, there you have it. My resolu, uh, I mean goals for 2011.
